ForbesToday’s NYT ‘Connections’ tips and answers for Saturday, November 9

Hey, people! I hope you’re making the most of your weekend, whether it’s two or three days for you. I think we could all use a breather after the events of last week.

It’s been quite a weekend for me and my partner as I just met her baby for the first time. It went really well and we all enjoyed spending time together. I’m already looking forward to the next one.

of today NYT Connections hints and answers for Sunday, November 10, are coming soon.

How to play the links

Connections is a free, popular New York Times daily word game. You get a new puzzle at midnight every day. You can play in NYT the Games website or app.

You are presented with a grid of 16 words. Your task is to arrange them into four groups of four by finding the connections between them. Groups can be things like clickable items, names for research study participants, or words preceded by a body part.

There is only one solution to each puzzle and you will have to be careful when it comes to words that can fit into more than one category. You can mix the words to help you see the connections between them.

Each group is color coded. The yellow group is usually the easiest to understand, the blue and green fall in between, and the purple group is usually the hardest. The purple group often includes puns.

Choose four words that you think go together and press submit. If you make a guess and are incorrect, you will lose a life. If you’re close to making a correct set, you may see a message telling you that you’re just one word away from getting it right, but you’ll still need to figure out which one to switch.

If you make four mistakes, it’s game over. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen with the help of some tips and, if you’re really struggling, today Connections answers. How about me Wordle and other similar games, it’s easy to share scores with your friends on social media and group chats.

If you have one NYT All Access or Games subscription, you can use Connections the archive. This includes any previous games of Connectionsso you can go back and play any of the ones you missed.

Aside from the first 60 games or so, you should be able to find my suggestions for each network via Google if you need them! Just click here and add the game date you need data on or search query answers for.

My first instinct was that COWBOY, SALOON DOORS, and STEER would go together, but I didn’t see a fourth word that would make sense with them. However, I made the connection between the blues to get that set.

I have to admit, I laughed when I got the purples afterwards. When I realized that SWING was probably a member of a group of swinging things, I thought “surely not”, but that was correct.

Connections there is often a word that is a descriptor for a set of red herrings elsewhere on the web. For example, a network with “swallow”, “rook”, “nutcracker” and “grose” may also include the word “bird”, but they may not be related to birds at all. So it was strange to see the SWING trait among the purples here, but I think this is a case of NYT teaching us to be on our feet at all times.

Anyway, I got the yellows and greens to drive things home.

That’s all there is for today Connections data and response. Be sure to check my blog for hints and the solution for Monday’s game if you need them.

PS Okay, let’s get back to some music-related recommendations. I’m a little late to the party with this one, but it just popped up in my YouTube algorithm and I really like it.

It’s a clip of an intensely detailed Halloween light show set in Chappell Roan’s Pink Pony Club. I absolutely adore that song and it gives me goosebumps every time I hear it, so this was sensory overload in the best way.

Using the pride flag palette for the lights was a great touch. I love how an animated face on the tree joins the “singing” pumpkin with background vocals. This may not make much sense, so please watch the video:
